PG-13 Movie Night: Virtual Camp George Summer Series

RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, AUGUST 6TH

This teen movie night, we will be watching Hot Rod (2007). This PG-13 film showcases Rod Kimball, for whom performing stunts is a way of life, even though he is rather accident-prone. Poor Rod cannot even get any respect from his stepfather, Frank, who beats him up in weekly sparring matches. When Frank falls ill, Rod devises his most outrageous stunt yet to raise money for Frank's operation -- and then Rod will kick Frank's butt. This laugh-out-loud movie is one to see!

We will be using the Teleparty browser extension to watch the movie together, so be sure to log into Netflix and have the Teleparty extension downloaded before the movie. Don’t forget the popcorn and candy either!

Click here for a tutorial on how to download the Teleparty extension.

We will be logging into Zoom to go over the steps once more and to send out the link so that everyone makes it into the Teleparty, and then we will watch the movie!

We will also be posting the link to the Teleparty in the Discord server.

ArtisTIC Expressions is typically a one-day Tourette Syndrome “festival” where young artists with TS within our Southern California TAA community showcase their talents live and in a supportive and judgement-free environment. Since this event was first organized by our very own Rhianna Wicken 5 years ago, it has regularly featured performances by musicians, actors, creative writers, cinematographers, illustrators, animators, and everything in between.

For those who wish to participate in our virtual festival, please contact Rhianna Wicken at rhianna@socaltaa.org and let her know what you plan to showcase. You will then be sent more detailed information and instructions on how to submit your talents.

We are so excited to see you (virtually) on July 19th!

Click below to register, and let us know if you're interested in showcasing your talents!
